Riverfest Committee Meeting (Feb 2024)

Please RSVP so we can plan food and drinks. 

There will be an option to attend via Zoom as well. The Zoom link will be sent to those that wish to attend virtually. 

Goals: 

• Update on committee leadership and members. (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and 4-8 additional members. (Max. 12))
• Create a Theme or Title - Contest update / Drawing
• Social Media - Jeff Reeves Managing
• Review the assigned events to businesses or groups - Get updates
• Tuesday - Kickoff Events (Medallion Hunt and promote Park & Rec Events)
• Wednesday - Pirates Game / Should we do this as a Theme Night (Or, Sunday's game?)
• Thursday - Community Cookout w/live music and Miss Riverfest Pagant. (Need someone to sponsor the live music for this event)
• Friday - Lion's Club - Live Music and Fireworks at Cottonwood Lake - Fundraising (Goal = $10k)
• Saturday - Full day of events - Jeff to break down each event and assign. 
• Food Vendors throughout the week at various locations. - Need to assign Food Vendors to a willing party.
• Parade - Still need a Sponsor for this event. (Jeff has sent a request to a business to take responsibility.)
• Craft and Vendor Show - Diane and a member of the Chamber Staff
• Sunday "Family Fun Day" at Island Park - Kiwanis Club - Jeff to work with Kiwanis Club.
• Duck Raffle - Jeff is handling with the City and the State. Should be ready to promote by the Farm & Home Show.
